The Art of the Interview
Everyone has a story to tell, and interviews can be incredibly entertaining and insightful, but there’s more to doing a great interview than simply talking to someone. This session will outline interviewing strategies and give tips and tricks learned first-hand to help you get the most out of your guests. Topics range from finding and scheduling potential guests, preparation, asking the right questions, interview flow, technical considerations, and more.

Something I see on the news all the time is someone being asked a question, giving a terrible response, and then the interviewer moves on to the next question instead of asking a follow up.
Is that a technique to show that this person is just a liar and we are supposed to draw our own conclusions? Or is that one of those “questions of the ages” where if interviewers are to hard they won’t have anyone to interview.
How do you handle the “elephant in the room”? IE: People who are only famous for one thing but don’t want that to be mentioned in the interview.
