Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Page by page, print media is one of the most respected and widely accepted sources of information across all demographics.
The introduction of movable type over 600 years ago enabled the greater production of books, and then newspapers. Copies of the Gutenberg Bible still exist to this day, and archives of newspapers have been converted to microfiche and are still able to be read, long after the authors have died, and before the internet was conceived.
The physical nature of print media allows you to have a copy of the work. Something tangible that isn’t present in many forms of online media. That won’t be deleted, crash, go offline, or be subject to a denial of service attack.
Personal documents and flyers are now able to be printed at home on a personal printer for a low cost per page, and it’s even possible to upload electronic documents to a publisher and buy a single printed copy.
